The short answer is ‘yes’.
People have long complained that they are paying for a phone line that they only use for broadband, now it is possible to have broadband as a stand-alone product, without paying for a separate phone line.
In fact, not only is this now possible, this will soon be the default in the near future and analogue phone lines will be a thing of the past. Openreach are planning to stop selling phone lines in 2023, and move everybody onto the new system by 2025.
The new broadband product is called SOGEA (Single Order Generic Ethernet Access) and is available to order now.
